I grew up in a large Italian family...though I myself am not a large Italian...a family of modest means. But what we lacked in height; what we lacked in money, we more than made up for in dysfunction. And mine was the greatest dysfunction of all: I thought that to be happy you needed money; and the happier you wanted to be, the more money you needed, and should strive for. At all costs. This BLOG addresses how this attitude and its implications is rife in our culture.
